Our fellows come from all across the country — from small towns, from religious colleges, from the military, from families who are far removed from the Beltway bubble.
We teach them to report accurately, fairly and in a proudly nonpartisan way. We support them with a full-time salary and benefits. We encourage them to bring their life experiences and perspectives to their work — but not their biases.
The result: Our reporters find and tell stories that others don’t, working alongside veteran reporters and editors at our “teaching hospital” newsroom, NOTUS.
We reach millions of people each month through our website, daily newsletter, frequent citation and republication in local and national media, as well as reporters’ regular appearances on CNN, MSNBC, PBS, NewsNation, SiriusXM radio and podcasts from Apple and The Ringer.
